Season 1
An Yun Su's humble dream of a happy family life is destroyed when her husband is murdered. She struggles to prove her innocence in his mysterious death. Once in prison, Mo-eun, a mysterious figure called a witch among prison inmates due to her uncanny ability to read people, appears before the distressed Yun Su. The fateful encounter between these two women has its own repercussions, and two men relentlessly pursue the truth: Baek Dong Hun, a conscientious prosecutor who never loses his composure, and Jang Jeong-Gu, Yun Su's lawyer and a former boxer who packs a punch in each and every case.
Episodes
1. Episode 1
Artist Lee Ki-dae is murdered in his studio. His wife, An Yun-su, is held for questioning amid a media frenzy and relentless police investigation.
2. Episode 2
Prosecutor Baek pressures Yun-su as she is taken back to the crime scene. While she furiously protests her innocence, another woman admits her guilt.
3. Episode 3
Mo Eun and Yun-su come face to face. After public outcry over the investigation, Baek gets a warrant for the detention center and orders a polygraph test.
4. Episode 4
Yun-su is given an ankle monitor — and a curfew. After an attorney volunteers to represent Mo Eun, she sends a threatening letter to her new ally.
5. Episode 5
Yun-su chases a hooded figure just as Mo Eun is reported missing from prison. Baek starts to suspect that the two women may be one step ahead of him.
6. Episode 6
Yun-su digs up dirt on her target's sinister past and spots a potential clue in the studio. A violent fight breaks out while Mo Eun is left unsupervised.
7. Episode 7
Both women try to erase evidence which could change the course of the investigation. Meanwhile, Ko Se-hun is reported missing by his grandfather.
8. Episode 8
Mo Eun shares evidence that complicates Yun-su's case. As Baek uncovers Se-hun's fatal crime, a new arrival in the cell stirs up old secrets.
9. Episode 9
Mo Eun raises eyebrows after a medical emergency. Attorney Jang Jeong-gu receives a pivotal phone call, and an escape attempt puts an inmate in danger.
10. Episode 10
A tense confrontation with Jeong-gu, Baek and Mo Eun reveals vital withheld information about the case. A shocking murder confession hits the news.
11. Episode 11
A hidden motive — and fingerprint — in Lee Ki-dae's murder case leads to an unlikely source. Mo Eun orchestrates a plan after news of a kidnapping.
12. Episode 12
As the pieces start falling into place in both murder cases, Baek and Jeong-gu receive a chilling video. Mo Eun has a final message for Yun-su.
